Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end Supply Chain strategy for the White Bear Lake, MN site. This includes procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, supplier relationships and implementation and optimization of large business critical ramps, transfers, and planning tools, e.g. S&OP, MES, NPI ramps. The Director of Supply Chain ensures operational excellence, cost containment, and alignment with Heraeus’ broader business goals. The Director of Supply Chain is strategic in focus, shaping the vision and direction of Supply Chain execution. It is both internal and external facing – aligning with Sales, Operations, and Finance leadership, as well as Heraeus customers.

This is an onsite position at our White Bear Lake, MN location. This role could require approximately 15% travel.

What You’ll Do Every Day:

  • Develop and define strategy in collaboration with executive leadership and lead end-to-end Supply Chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Oversee, manage, and develop team of planners, buyers, warehouse lead, and warehouse staff including, establishing annual goals and objectives, and managing team performance.
  • Own, lead and continuously refine the S&OP process, partnering cross-functionally with Portfolio Management, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to develop accurate demand and supply plans, prepare metrics and scenario analyses, guide executive decision-making, align customer service levels and working capital with strategic business objectives, and escalate critical issues to leadership.
  • Lead demand forecasting processes by collaborating with commercial teams to ensure accurate mid- and long-term forecasts, while maintaining data integrity and seamless system integration across planning, inventory, and product development.
  • Leverage data and analytics to improve Supply Chain visibility and performance metrics, e.g., On Time Delivery (OTD), inventory turns, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), et al.
  • Monitor Global Supply Chain trends, technologies, and regulations to communicate strategy and ensure compliance.
  • Analyze and resolve supply-demand imbalances while optimizing inventory levels across the supply chain to balance customer satisfaction, service performance, and inventory risk.
  • Ensure smooth supply chain transitions for new product introductions (NPI) from development to mass production.
  • Assess supply risks and collaborate with Procurement and Supplier Quality to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide demand planning input to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure warehouse efficiency and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all supply chain functions.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment, preference to Medical Device industry.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience with production planning, materials planning, systems management, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated mastery of project management tools, processes, and best practices using multiple project management methodologies.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills in building, managing, and developing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%.

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $140,000 and $190,000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
