The incumbent will work PART TIME (20-25 flexible hours/wk) building (assembling and repairing) poles and calibrating equipment on site at Nucor Steel Hickman and Nucor Yamato Steel in the Blytheville, AR area. For the right candidate, advancement and full-time opportunity may be possible in the future.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and repair poles, replace parts of existing poles.
  • Test and validate assemblies and components.
  • Weld washers to steel pipe and tack weld where needed.
  • Load and unload material on and off pallets from shipments to designated site.
  • Inventory management.

What is Required for this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Degree (completed or in process) in steel industry program, industrial technology/maintenance desired.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, work instructions, detailed drawings/blueprints.
  • Experience with hand tools, mechanical assembly, electrical testing, stripping wires and crimping wires. 
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be reliable and have a track record of good attendance.
  • Valid Driver’s license for duration of employment.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug screens as required by Heraeus and or customer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
