The Role
This is a newly created, high-impact position within the IT Office, supporting the Group Information Officer (GIO). The role works in close alignment with the GIO.
As Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) IT Transformation & Strategic Programs, you will play a central role in driving strategic IT programs and innovation initiatives across the organization. Acting as a trusted partner to the GIO, you will combine hands-on program ownership with elements of a senior advisor, providing both strategic support and operational execution. Within this role, you are mandated to actively drive alignment across the IT organization, challenge initiatives where required, and ensure consistency with the overall IT agenda on behalf of the GIO.
The position is designed for long-term development and offers development potential into future line management responsibilities.

The following challenges await you: 

• End-to-end responsibility for complex, international IT programs and strategic projects with a strong focus on innovation (e.g. AI) and transformation
• Close collaboration with the GIO and the IT Office on shaping, prioritizing and executing the IT strategy and innovation agenda
• Preparation of decision papers, executive presentations, and materials for steering committees and top management forums
• Acting as a key interface between IT, digital hub, business units, corporate functions and board across regions
• Operational and strategic support to the GIO, including coordination of cross-initiative dependencies, issue resolution and escalation management
• Establishing transparency, governance, and sustainable delivery across programs
• Moderation and alignment of diverse stakeholder interests at senior management level
• Continuous improvement of program and project management standards and structures

Your Profile:

• Several years of experience as a Senior Project or Program Manager in an international IT environment
• Proven track record in implementing innovation-driven initiatives, beyond conceptual work
• Strong international exposure and intercultural competence
• Ability to structure complexity, set priorities, and drive execution in ambiguous environments
• High level of communication skills, stakeholder sensitivity, and executive presence
• Comfortable working close to top management, without a pure management consultancy mindset
• Pragmatic, grounded, and focused on sustainable outcomes rather than short-term optics
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
• Personally: reflective, resilient, collaborative, and committed to long-term engagement
