4th shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6am - 6pm)

5th shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6pm - 6am)

****Must have ability to train during the week but commit to a weekend shift****

Position Summary:

Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team at our Buford, GA facility. The Maintenance Technician is an important part of our manufacturing process with the primary responsibility of repairing and maintaining production equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. This position will train during the week and will move to a weekend schedule in early August.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment for quartz glass.
Provide emergency maintenance for plant facilities and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, etc.
Utilize work order system to log activities and track completed work.
Collaborate with engineering team to install or modify equipment as needed.
Assist in completing work orders and scheduling maintenance/repairs on equipment.
Document changes to equipment, systems, procedures, and facilities as needed.
Troubleshoot equipment , minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years of experience in maintenance within manufacturing environment.
Experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and roofing trades.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems and determine effective solutions.
Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Ability to collaborate with engineering, facilities, and other departments.
