Job Summary

The following challenges await you: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop all site teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and EH&S.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, ensuring effective succession planning and talent management across the organization
  • Build and execute development plans for team members to grow technical skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership behaviors.
  • Own site-wide operational performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity).
  • Continuously improve operations through alignment with the Heraeus Production System (HPS) with a strong focus on driving a Lean Culture, drive technology enablement and digital strategy, implementation, and execution.
  • Drive process control improvements, ensuring manufacturing processes are standardized, measured, and optimized for consistency and quality.
  • Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles, focusing on waste reduction, flow optimization, and process efficiency.
  • Oversee capacity utilization, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Lead the enhancement of the site’s Quality System, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions with rigor and discipline.
  • Proactively champion Operations focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), driving a zero-incident culture.
  • Collaborate with EH&S teams to drive continuous improvement in site safety performance.
  • Serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, contributing to overall site strategy and decision-making.
  • Align closely with Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HR, and Finance to ensure cross-functional excellence.
  • Partner with central functions to support broader business objectives, technology transfer, and best practice sharing.
  • Manage and oversee capital investments, ensuring strategic allocation and efficient use of resources across all areas of responsibility
  • Create a culture of exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that the organization is highly responsive to customer needs and issues.
  • Establish a proactive quality mindset to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.

Your Profile

We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience with progressive levels of responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, OPEX for a manufacturing leader in a similar scope/scale role.
  • Plant manager management experience
  • Demonstrated success in driving zero incident culture, with employee ownership of EHS.
  • Proven track record in building high performance teams, leading cross-functionally, developing and retaining employees, and driving organizational change.
  • Track record of successful leadership, performance results, organizational development, and operational improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve process control, reduce variation, and drive sustainable operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, production processes, and quality systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project, time management and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans.
