Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless planning and flow of goods and services, and oversees all aspects of the supply chain operations, including material requirement planning for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods. Beyond the fundamental supply chain duties, this role encompasses the management of shipping/receiving and warehouse operations, ensuring timely dispatch, careful handling, and efficient storage of products. The manager is responsible for mid-and long-term production capacity planning, detailed scheduling, and releasing production orders, as well as tracking material and capacity consumption using SAP. With a proven track record of competence, the Supply Chain Manager is expected to drive continuous improvement across all these areas, maintaining a responsive and efficient supply chain that meets the dynamic needs of the organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Strategically manage the supply chain to drive profitable growth, incorporating comprehensive capacity and material requirement planning, while optimizing working capital through effective inventory control.
- Lead forecasting and sales and operations planning (S&OP) to ensure forecast accuracy, optimize capacity utilization, streamline lead times, and support timely customer order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Utilize advanced analytics and information systems to monitor and enhance key supply chain performance metrics and procedural efficiencies.
- Direct all aspects of material flow, including shipping/receiving and warehouse operations to ensure continuous supply to production and customers.
- Develop and adjust production schedules to align with inventory objectives and order requirements, overseeing packaging and distribution to meet quality and cost specifications.
- Review, revise, and optimize logistics and distribution processes for greater efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, such as hiring, training, delegating work, and managing employee performance.
- Promote a culture of safety by implementing appropriate working procedures, actively participating in EHS initiatives, and ensuring thorough incident reporting and communication of corrective actions.
- Champion the company's Code of Conduct, ensuring all team members are well-equipped and committed to upholding ethical practices and compliance across all operations.
Required Skills/Education & Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related field w/ five years of inventory management experience supporting a manufacturing environment. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP system SAP is required.
- Must be organized, flexible and adaptable to changing requests and requirements, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Must have the ability to work within a team environment including collaboration between functions.
- Must demonstrate strategic and tactical expertise with the ability to establish and execute a vision.
- Must possess project management skills as well as the ability to schedule and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
