Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an immediate opening for a Production Operator to join our Production team at our Buford, GA. location.  The primary responsibility of this position is to inspect, measure and cut tubing in a positive, customer-centric environment. Able to adapt to change well and enjoy being part of a continuous improvement culture.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Read and understand specifications and apply that data to the visual inspection of glass tubing
• Set up Measuring Machine and perform dimensional inspection of tubing.
• Cut tubing to length specifications using pipe cutter or knife.
• Must be versatile enough to multi-task cutting, measuring and inspecting products being produced on two S-Zugs simultaneously when required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Record data in SAP; prepare reports as required.
• Measure, visually inspect, load, and hang cylinders.
• Transport tubes.
• Check calibration on six measuring machines, sign off on the results, and report malfunctions to maintenance

What is required for this role:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or 1-year relevant experience required.
• A minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience is a plus.
• The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
