Your role and responsibilities

  • Summary - Ensure continuous and smooth operation of electrical and mechanical systems for the facility, equipment and machines.
  • Install motors, drives, starters, lights, fuses and breakers.
  • Size electrical wire and conduit, bend and install conduit and tubing, pull new wire and terminate.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair oven systems and induction furnaces, and their controls and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automated and semi-automated manufacturing machinery to ensure production readiness.
  • Complete daily maintenance tasks depending on work orders, emergencies, preventative activities, and other tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager.

What is required for this role

  • 2-year degree in industrial maintenance or similar degree and 3 years experience.
  • Electrician certification or Journeyman's license preferred.
  • Knowledge of the principles of electricity, PLC controls, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of switch gears, transformers, and power distribution.
  • Can troubleshoot, repair and program PLCs, variable frequency drives, ovens and induction furnaces.
  • Able to work with high and low voltage.
  • Educational courses and work experience with heating, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Can stand and walk frequently and lift up to 50 lbs. occassionally.
  • Can pass pre-employment drug screen, lift evaluation, and background check.
