About Heraeus Precious Metals

With more than 350 years of experience in precious metal processing, Heraeus Precious Metals is one of the world’s leading provider of innovative products and services, such as precious metal trading and recycling. Our products are used in a wide range of industries, for example to reduce climate-damaging gases such as nitrous oxide and methane, or in the form of active pharmaceutical ingredients for the treatment of cancer.

The driving force behind our innovation is our workforce with about 2,500 employees at 11 locations worldwide, who work passionately alongside our partners to develop groundbreaking and sustainable solutions.

Our vision: We create innovative precious metal products and services – leading the way to a sustainable future. To this end, we have set ambitious goals.

The following challenges await you:

  • In this role, you support the development and implementation of the global PMO within Operations Recycling and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, digital solutions and ways of working.
  • You independently manage improvement projects, task forces, customer projects, and other cross-functional initiatives from concept through to successful implementation
  • You structure projects, define milestones and actions, coordinate stakeholders and ensure sustainable implementation.
  • By identifying operational improvement opportunities and applying Continuous Improvement principles, you translate ideas into structured projects that enhance processes, performance, and ways of working.
  • In close collaboration with Operations, Engineering and other functions, you develop solutions and ensure successful implementation.
  • You contribute to project portfolio management through status reporting, project prioritization, and the preparation of decision-making materials for management.
  • In addition, you prepare and facilitate project meetings, workshops and management reviews while supporting transformation, digitalization and change initiatives across the organization.
  • Developing and maintaining simple, transparent PMO standards, tools and reporting also form part of your responsibilities.

Your profile:

  • University degree in engineering, natural sciences, business administration or a comparable field
  • Relevant professional experience in a technical, operational or project-related environment; experience in project management or Continuous Improvement is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
  • Strong interest in technical and operational topics, combined with the ability to quickly understand complex processes and connect different perspectives
  • Structured and analytical way of working, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and a strong focus on implementation
  • Interest in Continuous Improvement and willingness to apply improvement methods in a practical business environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively across functions and stakeholder groups
  • High level of ownership, curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently while actively contributing to team success
  • Willingness to work closely with Operations and undertake occasional international travel

What you can look forward to at Heraeus Precious Metals:

  • Exciting tasks - implement them with a high level of personal responsibility in an ambitious environment with very good opportunities for further development.
  • Shaping sustainability - be part of realizing our vision.
  • Inclusive corporate culture - diversity makes our organization more successful. We promote this, among other things with specific targets, part-time/job-sharing management positions, and training courses.
  • Attractive compensation - in addition to a good pay package, you can expect extensive social benefits from a responsible family-owned company.
  • And much more - mobile working, 30 vacation days or more, travel allowance for public transport, bicycle leasing, ...
