This position will support the R&D Operations Manager by leading one or more designated work areas while also performing hands-on manufacturing responsibilities as needed. This includes providing work direction and process training, managing and approving timecards, and ensuring scheduled jobs are completed on time.

The following challenges await you:

  • Ensure scheduled jobs are completed on time and give work direction/assignments to assure customer shipment schedules are met.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of manufacturing processes and advanced set-ups throughout the facility as needed
  • Supports technical activities and resources to avoid/minimize downtime, assist in setting manufacturing priorities and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Effectively escalate technical issues to supervisor and/or engineering in order to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Provides clear work directions to staff and maintains a visibly organized area.
  • Drives and supports lean manufacturing methods throughout manufacturing. 
  • Manages team conflict and escalates to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Manages and approves assigned employee timecards.
  • Assures availability of qualified technical resources on the production floor
  • Promotes and supports cross-training efforts throughout the facility.
  • Assist in the development of tools and set-up procedures to produce high quality product with minimal setup cycle times.
  • Drives continuous improvements throughout the department. 
  • Completes all administrative functions relating to completion of orders, including entering data into SAP.
  • Follows set training program for position and ensures training requirements are up to date. 
  • Demonstrates safe work habits, maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Your profile:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Technical Degree in relevant field is a plus
  • A minimum of 7 years in medical device manufacturing including:
    • Microscope experience
    • Machine operation and assembler experience
    • Strong manual dexterity skills
    • Must have good basic math and English reading skills
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Ability to read and apply technical data from product specifications
    • Ability to read and comprehend written procedures in English
    • Basic Math Calculations (adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing)
    • Ability to use a calculator
    • Daily usage and interpretation of micrometers, rulers, and other measuring tools
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and multitasking skills required 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous working experience with ISO quality system required
  • Lean manufacturing experience in a regulated environment a plus

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected base salary hiring range for this position is between $26.00/hour and $32.00/hour, based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 2.5% of base salary depending upon company and individual performance. Our total compensation package also includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
