The primary responsibility of this position is to be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials. This role will ensure the timely and accurate handling of inventory and assist with warehouse operations as needed.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport and position goods within the warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling of materials.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure and organized workspace.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the warehouse or loading dock.
• Load and unload merchandise from delivery vehicles.
• Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies during operations.
• Keep accurate records of inventory movements and report discrepancies.
• Assist in organizing and storing materials in the appropriate locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  

What is required for this role:

• Forklift operator certification, or equivalent experience, that demonstrates your capability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts as needed.
