The following challenges await you:

  • Own reimbursement and market-access strategy for ETS skin-substitute and surgical products.
  • Build payer-specific market-access plans across HOPD and private‑office settings.
  • Assess reimbursement pathways: coding, coverage policies, payment methodologies, site‑of‑care economics, and provider financial impact.
  • Identify adoption barriers (coverage restrictions, prior auth, documentation gaps, denials) and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Lead payer engagement: develop value propositions, coverage dossiers, evidence packages, and reimbursement presentations.
  • Drive coverage expansion and consistency by partnering with payers, medical directors, and policy stakeholders.
  • Define HOPD vs. office commercialization requirements and create provider tools for coding, prior auth, claims, and denial management.
  • Build scalable reimbursement operations (benefits investigation, prior auth, coding/claim support, appeals) and manage vendor partnerships.
  • Translate clinical/HEOR evidence into payer value messages, economic models, and provider‑facing materials to support adoption.
  • Lead the market‑access function: set goals, metrics, cross‑functional alignment, and executive recommendations on reimbursement risk and resource allocation.

Your Profile:

Required

  • Bachelor’s in healthcare, business, public health, life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or related; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in reimbursement, market access, payer strategy, patient access, or healthcare commercialization.
  • Deep experience with commercial payer reimbursement for devices/biologics/surgical/skin‑substitute/wound‑care products.
  • Proven work across HOPD and physician‑office settings.
  • Strong expertise in coding, coverage, payment, utilization management, prior authorization, claims, appeals, and denials.
  • Experience creating payer strategies, coverage dossiers, value propositions, and reimbursement tools.
  • Track record leading cross‑functional initiatives and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Experience building or scaling reimbursement/patient‑access/market‑access functions.

Preferred

  • Hands‑on experience with wound care, skin substitutes, biologics, or surgical products.
  • Familiarity with commercial payer policy development, payer medical‑director engagement, and contracting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid, managed care, and coding systems (CPT/HCPCS/ICD‑10/modifiers).
  • Certifications (CPC, CPHR, etc.) and experience with reimbursement analytics, CRM/case‑management platforms, or BI dashboards.
