The following challenges await you: 

• In your role as Head (m/f/d) of Innovation Management you will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Innovation Management at Heraeus Precious Metals (HPM), playing a pivotal role in managing and driving the company’s innovation excellence. 
• You coordinate the innovation activities for HPM together with the innovation teams of the business lines and the HPM management team. 
• You develop and implement innovation strategies to drive HPMs concepts for innovation excellence together with your team and the business lines of HPM. you will support the derivation and further development of HPMs domains (focus applications).
• Running the HPM Innovation project management office (steering, methods, project management principles) and carrying out ideation workshops and accelerators will also be part of your responsibility. 
• You will play a decisive role in shaping and steering the governance of innovation, ensuring that all innovation activities are strategically aligned with the company's objectives and driving impactful outcomes. Additionally, you set up and drive multi/outside-Business Line innovation topics. 
• Last, but not least you manage technology scouting in the area new market/new technology, supported by business lines. 

Your Profile: 

• Master in natural science, mathematics, informatics, or engineering, ideally with PhD 
• A solid understanding of business metrics, financial implications, and the ability to align innovation activities with business goals (ideally with MBA) 
• Strong leadership skills, including the capacity to inspire and motivate teams, build relationships, and make strategic decisions 
• Significant experience (at least 5 years) in innovation management, product development, or a related area 
• Excellent analytical skills to identify trends, oversee market research, and evaluate new business opportunities 
• Proficiency in project management methodologies to oversee innovation projects from concept to implementation as well as a sound understanding of innovation processes 
• Expertise in leading organizational change and adapting to new ways of working 
• Strong networking and leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for innovation, alongside a readiness to inspire teams and challenge the status quo 
• Fluent in English and command of German language is of help
